It's awesome seeing AnimSchool graduate Stalin Ranjith share his reference video alongside the shots he animated (the ones in color).
"The progression Directors wanted to show:
- Rumi looking haunted: She is chanting a mantra ingrained in her head.
- no fight left in her: exhausted and hollowed out.
- no thought in her head, emotionless to Gwima's words. She had already thought everything through before showing up.
- complete self-acceptance and moving forward.
These may look like simple shots to animate, but they were a challenge to get the emotions and intentions feel just right."
