"We Have Always Lived In The Castle" book review. This includes a spoiler-free and spoiler section. I discuss some interesting things about Shirley Jackson's life, which may just give you some more insight into the themes and characters of the novel. One thing I did forget to mention (sorry) is that the characters of Merricat and Constance were inspired by her own daughters.
This was a five star read for me and definitely one I will definitely revisit in future. Enjoy!
