On October 20th, 2018, we had a baby girl! This video is a vlog from the start of my 37th week of pregnancy- I thought I was just filming another update vlog without knowing that in a few days I would be induced 3 weeks early due to gestational hypertension. So this video turned into a labor and delivery vlog / birth vlog!
I will be filming a separate labor and delivery story / birth story video about the whole experience-[ I was induced due to hypertension and spent 32 hours in labor, had failed epidurals, etc] but this video is just sharing the first moments with our daughter!
We were not expecting to deliver at 37 weeks! We found out at 36 weeks pregnant that I had high blood pressure and I was put on bi weekly monitoring / was coming in for extra monitoring and appointments to make sure it wasn't rising or developing into preeclampsia. We just moved into our new house a few weeks earlier, and we were still working on getting the house ready for baby [decorating the nursery, setting up the baby essentials, etc] so we were put into overdrive getting everything ready for baby when we found out there was a chance I might deliver early!
A lot of you guys have been requesting more vlogs with my family [my old vlog watchers!!] so this video is also for you :) Made sure to film with my family when they came to help us get the nursery ready!
Thank you guys so much for all of your love and support during my pregnancy- I truly appreciated all of your sweet comments, your instagram DMs, your recommendations, etc. I'm so thankful to have this community of friends that I can share these experiences with!
I will still be posting videos now that we've had our baby girl- they might just be a little less frequently now that I'm getting into the swing of being home with her [hence why this is going up on a Friday vs a thursday- had my hands a little tied so editing went slower than usual!] thank you for understanding and please let me know if you have any requests for baby related videos!
