We ought to know by now that justice doesn't happen overnight. The systems that oppress won't fall because of viral posts or performative pseudo-boycotts that we pull back from after a weekend of hype. Working towards a better world is not simply a matter of swaying public opinion, but of grounding ourselves in, as our brother @davidgatepoet says, "a rebellion of care."

We show up for each other. We pool our resources to meet needs. We stand together against the pressure toward despair and apathy.
