You never know what you’ll discover while living the RV life. On this adventure we step outside our camper and find a movie being filmed right across from our campsite! From there, Mike installs a Jeep light bar upgrade to help with our late-night campground arrivals, we explore the incredible Fort Pulaski National Monument near Savannah, Georgia, and a rainy day in Savannah leads us straight into a cozy Irish pub with great food, drinks, and live music.
Fort Pulaski is one of the most fascinating Civil War forts in the United States, known for its massive seven-foot-thick brick walls that were once believed to be indestructible. We tour the fort, explore the cannons, underground bunkers, prison cells, and learn the story of how new rifled cannons changed military history.
Then we head into Savannah’s historic district, where pouring rain changes our plans and sends us searching for the perfect place to wait out the storm. Sometimes the best travel moments are the ones you didn’t plan!
