Our power grid was built for a world that no longer exists. While we’ve made huge strides in energy production, the real issue is how we distribute electricity—through an aging, inflexible system designed over a century ago. What if, instead of upgrading the old system, we built something entirely new?

New ideas like dynamic pricing and grid edge technology could transform how energy flows throughout America. Imagine a system where power moves in two directions, where your electric car or home battery could store energy and sell it back when demand spikes. By fundamentally changing how power moves, we could make electricity more affordable, efficient, and resilient. But to make it happen, we need forward-thinking policies and a willingness to rethink the way we’ve done things for generations.
