I made this educational video guide on how to spot a failing SSD or HDD on your desktop computer.
Today a friend asked me to diagnose his PC because it would freeze while trying to boot into Windows OS.
I tried to format and install a fresh copy of Windows OS on it. I found out it was booting for a very long time. After 20 minutes, it let me into the Windows setup, but I wouldn't let format the SSD inside. It would show me an error code 0x800701b1 and found out on Google that the SSD was failing. I replaced the corrupted SSD with a working 500GB SSD from Samsung; the whole PC was running just fine after the Windows installation was successful.
I also tested out externally the not working SSD on my main working PC, but it would freeze the PC while trying to get inside, so I stopped, and I knew the SSD was broken.
Thanks for watching; hopefully, this video helped you out. Have a nice day.
