It is no accident that many conservation-oriented water utilities across the country pay customers to remove turf. Two words: high maintenance! Keeping turf green and inviting can be a taxing enterprise. In Miami-Dade, though, you can keep the turf. We just want you to mind the watering. So if you've been thinking about adding a hearty hedge or clearing some space in the back yard for a butterfly garden: we see you! Cap some irrigation heads and we'll rebate you the cost of some FL-friendly plants to the tune of $400. And if you accumulate enough FL-friendly plants perhaps one day your landscape can be certified as FL-friendly!
