🎥 About this video - I am in San Antonio Texas and was invited by the Scottish Society of San Antonio to visit the Alamo, where we were met with a huge surprise - first that San Antonio bagpiper David Sutherland would pipe us in to the Alamo, and second the Viscount Dunrossil, Andrew Morrison presented my wife and I with an honorary citizenship to the city of San Antonio, signed by Mayor Ron Nirenberg. I was fascinated to learn of the Scottish ancestry of many of the folks who live in San Antonio, and that many who fought at The Alamo were either Scottish or from Scottish ancestry. Located in the city of San Antonio, the Alamo was the site of a major battle in the Texas Revolution and is one of the most famous historical sites in the United States. Today, the Alamo is a popular tourist destination, and it is also an important symbol of Texas history.
