We are the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.
We regulate all nuclear facilities and activities in Canada.
Section 2: Diversity and inclusion
Our workforce of scientific and technical experts
is composed of students, visible minorities, and individuals from many ethnic groups.
All play an important role in achieving our mandate.
Section 3: Youth and Indigenous Peoples
We reach out to the Indigenous Peoples and youth of Canada through our Outreach Program and Participant Funding Program.
These programs provide them with information and opportunities to participate in our regulatory proceedings.
Section 4: Protecting the environment
The CNSC has the regulatory power to protect the environment.
This crucial responsibility is reflected in all our licences.
Environmental protection is rigorously enforced by our regulatory processes and actions.
We are proud to be serving Canadians by ensuring nuclear safety in Canada and therefore contributing to Canada’s success story.
