We Are The Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson is light on the science fiction and heavy on teen angst, trauma, depression, and abuse. This is a YA novel with some mature themes. I wanted to be sure to read something this June with LGBTQ+ representation for Gay Pride month and this fit the bill.
