The final 27 verses of 'The Masque of Anarchy' is dedicated to Jeremy Corbyn whom, I’ve no doubt, will one day become an absolute folk legend. A more honourable, decent, trustworthy politician there has never been and yet he was vilified, even demonised, every single day, from day one of his leadership, by the mainstream media and, to the eternal shame of the PLP, a large section of his own party.
He had to defend himself against lies and fabricated stories from the BBC, ITV, Skynews, and Channel4news on TV and in the press from, The Telegraph, The Times, The Mail, The Express, The Evening Standard, The Metro, The Star and The Guardian on a daily basis. I’ve named them to highlight the scale and depth of our national shame.
Our media is the propaganda arm of the tory party. They even managed to convince people that possibly the least racist politician/man there’s ever been - was racist!
WHY?
Because he wanted a more equal and fair society?
Because he wanted to fund our NHS properly?
Because he wanted to reintroduce nurses bursaries - cut by the tories?
Because he wanted to reverse the savage austerity measures imposed by the tories?
Because he wanted to take back our national utilities and railways from private ownership?
Because he proposed peoples quantitive easing?
Because he wanted to end tuition fees?
Because he is an ant-war activist?
Or maybe, because he wanted to tax high earners more? Ah, now we’re getting there.
Or because he wanted to raise corporation tax and not just that, to actually make them pay their fair share of tax, which they are avoiding with ‘clever’ accounting?
And just maybe, it was because he was determined to transform Britain for the many not the few…
