Story:
My mother sadly passed away in 2022, It broke me. Grief became these constant waves where I could barely come up for a breathe. One day, unknowingly I went clothes shopping for the funeral on Mother’s Day, I was so stuck in my head around then that I probably ignored all the signs which would have made me avoid what was about to happen, It was a surreal moment seeing lots and lots of people wearing heartfelt smiles and sharing special moments together. Everything I wanted and needed was right in front of me but it was clear that I didn’t have that anymore. it was poetic in the most painful way. I had to detach from myself and observe the moment as a writer and I guess now in hindsight that was only really to protect myself from that momen
