A few days ago, I made a ridiculous satirical music video called “Bin, Bin, Binface!” by Basic Craig.
I thought it might be funny to a small number of people following the Count Binface vs Nigel Farage story.
Instead, it somehow spread across YouTube, Instagram, X, Facebook and TikTok, passing 3 million views across original uploads and third-party reposts.
This video is a breakdown of how it happened, why I made it, what I was thinking creatively, and what the whole thing says about memes, AI music, internet culture, political satire and the strange state of British politics.
To be clear: this was not an official Count Binface project. Jonathan David Harvey had nothing to do with it. It was an independent parody and satire project made impulsively in response to a very absurd cultural moment.
