Can you 3D print an entire designer table? We decided to find out.
This massive project started as 44 separate 3D-printed parts and required 8.5 kg of ABS plastic and over 300 hours of printing. Piece by piece, we assembled a giant octopus base, prepared the surface, and covered it with real metal-based brass coating to transform plastic into something that looks like solid metal.
Finally, we added a custom glass tabletop and turned a pile of 3D prints into a unique piece of furniture.
