"China Heroically Stands in the Universe" was the national anthem of China from 1915 to 1921. After Yuan Shikai declared himself Emperor of China in December 1915, the lyrics of the anthem were slightly modified and turned into the national anthem of the Empire of China. The lyrics were abolished again in 1916 after his death and replaced by lyrics written by Zhang Zuolin. The song was no longer the official anthem after 31 March 1921, when Song to the Auspicious Cloud again became the national anthem.
The Empire of China was a short-lived attempt by statesman, general and president Yuan Shikai from late 1915 to early 1916 to reinstate monarchy in China, with himself as the Hongxian Emperor. The attempt was unsuccessful; it set back the Chinese republican cause by many years and fractured China into a period of conflict between various local warlords. The national flag was changed from the original five-stripe flag to one where the red stripe is a centered cross; however, a flag with the former red stripe as a saltire was the version commonly used.

![Waving flag and National Anthem of Israel, Hatikvah
Hatikvah (Hebrew: הַתִּקְוָה, pronounced [hatikˈva], lit. English: The Hope) is a 19th-century Jewish poem and the national anthem of Israel. The theme of the romantic composition reflects the Jews 2,000-year-old hope of returning to the Land of Israel and reclaiming it as a free and sovereign nation. Its lyrics are adapted from a poem by Naftali Herz Imber, a Jewish poet from Złoczów (today Zolochiv, Ukraine), which was then in the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria under Austrian rule.
The flag of Israel (Hebrew: דגל ישראל Degel Yisrael; Arabic: علم إسرائيل ʿAlam Israʼīl) was adopted on 28 October 1948, five months after the establishment of the State of Israel. It depicts a blue hexagram on a white background, between two horizontal blue stripes. The blue stripes are intended to symbolize the stripes on a tallit, the traditional Jewish prayer shawl. The Star of David is a widely acknowledged symbol of the Jewish people and of Judaism. In Judaism, the colour blue symbolises Gods glory, purity and gevurah (Gods severity) (See: Blue in Judaism). The White field represents Chesed (Divine Benevolence).

![Uzbekistan: National Anthem and Waving Flag
The State Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was officially adopted on 10 December 1991 by the Constitution of Uzbekistan, after gaining independence from the Soviet Union. The lyrics were written by Uzbek poet Abdulla Oripov, set to the melody composed by Soviet Uzbek composer Mutal Burhonov.
The national flag of Uzbekistan, officially the State flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan,[a] consists of a horizontal triband of celestial blue, white and green, separated by two thin red fimbriations, with a white crescent moon and twelve white stars in the canton. The azure colour on the flag is a symbol of the sky and of clear water. Azure is also the colour of the Turkic peoples. White is the traditional Uzbek symbol of peace and good luck. Green is a symbol of nature, new life, and good harvest. The red fimbriations represent the power of life.
The image of the crescent moon is connected with Uzbek historical imagery as well as being a symbol of the birth of a new nation. The stars represent spirituality and divinity, as well as an allusion to Uzbek historical tradition and calendar. The stars are also a symbol of the pursuit of perfection and happiness of Uzbek people in their homeland.
