The Week I Review | Waves is an assault on the senses (until it's not) | Movie Review @TheWeekIReview | Uploaded November 2019 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Entry 64: Trey Edward Shults sure loves his family dramas, with each of his now-three feature films taking a different spin on the genre. First, Krisha (fairly straightforward; not good), then It Comes at Night (horror-ish; very good), and now Waves (watch the video). There's really a lot to unpack with this particular one, and I'm not necessarily the correct person to do that unpacking, but this is my YouTube channel, so I did it anyway.
