This is the Intro to Watts Island The Aftermath, which will focus on the drama & negative effects that this case has had on the true crime community.
Not only was this case complex but what has happened online afterwards is also pretty complex, and I’ve struggled with organizing everything together and figuring out what points I want to make. So I’ve decided to break it down into parts, so that I can talk about each element separately. There will be several 10 minute episodes, instead of one longer video. I’m hoping this helps me in organizing everything. I’m struggling 🤦♀️😂
A lot of people have moved on & are no longer talking about the Watts case, which is a good thing. I’m not interested in discussing the case anymore, at all. I only want to highlight how the drama has affected those who covered the case & how, unfortunately, online activities have spilled over into people’s real lives.
I believe every experience should be a learning experience & I hope that we can all learn about how & why this absolute mess began & how to prevent it from happening again.
