Hey guys, Fleurie here :) wanted to share this special song with you. During this quarantine season a lot of us writers and musicians have been collaborating remotely, just to stay connected and make art together. My longtime friend Matt Stanfield (he produced my Arrows EP in 2015!) sent me this piano part he wrote and asked if I wanted to write something on top of it. As soon as I heard it I was filled with emotion - longing. I wrote this song in less than 5 minutes, it came gushing out of me...a song about my lifelong wrestle with perfectionism and the longing for self acceptance. It’s something I’ve been growing in a lot lately, especially during this time at home by myself. As you can see the vocal was a one-take as well and I didn’t even bother to change out of my pajamas haha. Raw & real.
