Today is the day we start our watermelons. I started Crimson Sweet, Wil's sugar, Scaly Bark in 16 oz red solo cups. The other shorter season watermelon, Bozman, Sugar Baby, and Early Canadian will be sown directly into the soil. We are then over the summer compare result. Transplant shock reduction is how I going about this. Fertilizers are simple and easy to apply. Lanscape fabric a must to get the heat up, stop weed and maintain soil.
