Description: Putting together the materials Ill need to get a jump start on the watermelon garden for 2020. Start date looks like April 5th. I have the potting soil mix, 32 oz cups seed heating mats and containers to put the watermelon seedlings in, so they can get natural light.

Got a bit hot under the tarp today, so when it got to 50.4 C I lifted the hood and was pleasantly surprised. Started seeds direct in the zone 5B garden on the 29th, 30th and first of May. I will probably start three week earlier now with this radical new method.. All of this done in the mist of the coldest spring on record ever.
