Angela Fehr Watercolour | Watercolor Mixing Workshop: Making Gorgeous Colors using 3 Primary Hues @angelfehr | Uploaded October 2019 | Updated October 2024, 1 day ago.
If you're avoiding using primary colors like cyan, magenta and yellow because they are too bright on the paper, don't give up yet! A little color mixing can give you a more sophisticated, richer look and create an entirely different mood.
Color mixing is an important part of watercolor, and it's fun to learn when you apply it in a playful way. I love learning about color through warm ups that give me a chance to mix color and experiment, and I'm demonstrating that today.
