1. Binder clips hold the pages down flat while I paint. You can find them on Amazon or various art journal companies

2. Holbein softtape. Rarely tears, rarely bleeds. I prefer the smaller size for my journal (1/2")

3. Inspiration. This book is An American in Provence: Art, Life and Photography or you can have a book of your favorite artist (mine is Monet) or you can use photos from your phone. Basically just have something at the ready that gets you excited to paint! And of course a journal, this one is from Bella Classica Journals.
