For most leaking model engine water tanks, the o-rings have been damaged during assembly and new o-rings will fix the problem.

For the brass M17 series engines, the o-rings grooves are cast in place and are very rough. For that, the thinned silicone sealant works best.

Thin Silicone Sealant 50/50 with mineral spirits plus a few drops of water.
