Apple has released WatchOS 27 Developer Beta 4 for Apple Watch, and with the public beta 2 likely right around the corner, I'm walking through everything new, improved, and still buggy in this build. In this hands-on WatchOS 27 beta 4 review on the Apple Watch Ultra 3, I cover the standout upgrade this time: Workout Buddy is now independent and finally works without your iPhone nearby. I take it on a real walk to test how the audio prompts and workout tracking hold up when the watch is on its own, plus whether a cellular plan is actually required.
