The watchOS 26 Release Candidate (build 23R351) is here, so I installed it on Apple Watch to test everything that actually matters. In this video I walk through the biggest real-world changes: the new Sleep Score view, the “Liquid Glass” look in places like notifications, a much more capable Control Center (with one-tap Reminders and the new Notes app), a redesigned Workouts app, Workout Buddy with customizable alerts, and automatic volume adjustment in Sound & Haptics. I also tour the new faces—Flow, X-Actograph, an Hermès-only face, and the Ultra-only Waypoint—so you can see how they look on-wrist.
If you’ve been waiting to decide whether to update when the final version drops, this RC deep dive shows the improvements you’ll actually use day-to-day. Drop your questions in the comments and tell me which feature you’re most excited about: Sleep Score, the Control Center changes, or the new faces.
