NASA's highly anticipated Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope successfully lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Sunday aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. Named in honor of NASA's first chief astronomer, the Roman telescope is designed to uncover some of the universe's biggest unknowns, specifically targeting the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy. Equipped with a massive 300-megapixel infrared camera, the Roman Space Telescope boasts a field of view 100 times larger than the iconic Hubble Space Telescope.
