I've made a LOT of mistakes in marketing. Like, a LOT a lot.
Here's a couple you don't need to make - learn from my past Prospecting (Intro/Strategy/Discovery Call) failures đ
1. ALWAYS ask, "do you have a staff to handle the influx of new business I'll send?"
2. Can you tell me about your current Sales Process?
If the answer to #1 is "Not really," it doesn't mean I won't take them on as a client, however, my job of helping them fix their efficiency might take a lot of my time. Better to take clients who are ready for scale NOW đ
If they waffle on question #2, you may want to pass... UNLESS you're ready, willing and able to provide consulting on their sales process. This could prove highly valuable for your agency over time, but in many cases it's not a quick fix.
