Inspired by Peter Handke’s Publikumsbeschimpfung (Offending the Audience), the piece combines aesthetic manifesto and social commentary, with movement, text and traditional music creating a strikingly layered experience. Founded in Tel Aviv and led by Naharin since 1990, Batsheva Dance Company is renowned for the choreographer’s revolutionary “Gaga” technique and its extraordinary physical energy.
