Let’s make some pottery out of paper!
I recently tried my hand at making paper mache clay and had a little left over. I wanted to see if I could make a trinket tray with it.
Originally I was going to shape it around a bowl that but failed real quick. I decided to make it from scratch, pinch pot style.
After I got it in the shape I wanted I painted a thin layer of mod podge just for good measure.
This thing took DAYS to dry. If I could have set it out in the sun it would have been faster but it’s been super rainy here so no sun for me.
After it fully dried, the finished product is pretty good! It feels strong and solid but not heavy.
I’m going to attempt to sand it a little to see if I can smooth out some of the bumps, then paint it! I’m not sure what design I’m going to go with yet but I’m open to suggestions!
