Elite Resistance, Damnation gameplay using the Antax Mk V Combat Axe and M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasmagun.
I was excited to give this special condition a try, as it sounded like it would put up a good challenge. After having played it and having time to reflect, I'm pretty disappointed with it. It feels like a low intensity special condition, where "Shock Troop" squads have been placed in sparse areas of the map. Which makes for a lot of easy and mindless running through, before being faced every so often, with a gang of elites.
On-top of that, hoards were said to be much more threatening, however when they spawned they didn't feel much different to normal hoard spawns.
Sure they gave units more HP and I think I felt that early on in the gameplay as Ogryn took a long time to take down, but in my opinion that just makes the mode feel less fun.
This condition is not a challenge in the slightest apart from maybe once every few matches it will RNG and unstoppable burst of enemies you have to deal with. So I would like to see some changes in the intensity of the mode, they don't need to boost the HP of enemies but just put more of them on.
I originally thought there would be loads and loads of specialists and elite units around every corner. But it is nothing like that really, the maps feel empty and boring!
But thats just my thoughts, let me know what you think of the mode down below!
LOADOUT:
M35 Magnacore Mk II Plasmagun
Antax Mk V Combat Axe
Feats: 1-1-2-3-1-3
18:18 Mid Mission Event
22:40 End Mission Event
