Watch live coverage of the launch of a United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket with a batch of 29 satellites for Amazon's Leo internet service on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Liftoff is scheduled during a 29-minute launch window that opens at 12:30:15 a.m. EDT (0430:15 UTC). The rocket will take a north-easterly trajectory on departure from Florida's Space Coast.

Amazon’s LEO satellite internet constellation, originally called Project Kuiper, is designed to rival others, like SpaceX’s Starlink and Eutelsat's OneWeb.

The Leo 8 mission features the most powerful Atlas 5 configuration, the 551, equipped with five solid rocket boosters from Northrop Grumman. This will be the last planned Atlas 5 launch of Amazon Leo satellites.

Commentary will be provided by Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson-Smith, starting approximately one hour prior to liftoff.
