In the last week, lots of debate has centered on whether or not some sort of weather or geo-engineering caused the incredibly devastating Guadalupe River flood. A close look at the landscape shows how this part of the world is literally made to produce HUGE floods--you can actually see the landscape characteristics that make it happen. The landscape that makes these floods is different from other parts of the country. I compare it to the Appalachians, which have a totally different geology and landscape. The Appalachians make huge floods themselves, but they require different weather conditions and proceed differently from the Texas Hill Country.
