I recently wrote an extended feature for liberal currents, trying to make sense of our recent regiment and arguing for a framework that considers conservatism and fascism meaningfully distinct (without being sympathetic to the former.)
This prompted some really amazing informed engagement - including many who thought I'd got it wrong. Silvaria was among them, arguing that it had in fact been fascism - or something like it - all along.
The feedback to the debate has been considerable, so we decided it would be of interest to sit down and discuss our differences.
You can probably do this in either order (ie read the essays first, or listen to the podcast first - if you have time to read both and hear us discuss it, we'd love your thoughts)
