Most people use Ayane with her infinite musou set up, but that life is not for me, I fight and mash hard, Ayane is just as capable of surviving Gauntlet Mode without Musou.
Ayane is fast as hell, it was only natural to give her two attributes that rely on combos. She didn't need Osmosis so it became Alacrity (she also has Thrift) and Echo was replaced with Aggression, it really helps her R1/Air R1.
Her R1 and Air R1 are excellent combo extenders, when you see that you are running low on opponents but you see a mob nearby just throw an R1 and if it hits it'll give you enough time to get there and continue the combo. Air R1 I use after R1 since it's quick damage and movement if you cancel to J.C (which then cancel to R1, repeat)
