Each week we Rent a game to play with the community, and read your thoughts on our podcast. This weeks rental was Metroid: Zero Mission on Gameboy Advance
Metroid: Zero Mission is an action-adventure video game for the Gameboy Advance, developed by Nintendo's R&D1 division and released in 2004. It is a remake of the original 1986 Metroid game, redesigned to feature modernized gameplay, graphics, and a supplementary plotline. The story reiterates the mission of intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran, who is sent to the alien-infested planet of Zebes to destroy Mother Brain, the leader of the space pirate force. Focusing on exploration and search for power-ups that enhance Samus's power suit, the game has non-linear gameplay which has influenced the design of many subsequent games known as 'Metroidvania'.
