This is the OST for Warlord’s Penance Demo featuring two tracks created with heavy use of processed Sega Genesis / YM2612 sounds, combining a tracker workflow in Furnace with production processing and mixing inside REAPER.
The main track, “Underkeep”, is built as a dynamic piece and contains three independent layers (an exploration layer, a combat layer and a low-health layer). For this video, I arranged a version of the main track, combining its layers into a single linear mix.

Warlord’s Penance was originally developed in just one week during 1 Bit Jam #7, where it performed extremely well earning 1st place in Gameplay and 2nd place Overall. We are very proud of the result!
The game is currently in active development and is receiving regular updates.
