Jordan Sorcery | Warhammer Summer Campaigns! @jordansorcery | Uploaded September 2024 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Games Workshop global campaigns brought the Warhammer 40k and Fantasy settings to life, using community gaming in stores, at clubs, and at home, to drive the story of the games.
Ichar IV and the 3rd War for Armageddon for 40k, and Dark Conspiracy and Dark Shadows for Warhammer Fantasy were amongst the earliest events and they taught the team at Games Workshop a lot about the limits of postal submissions, storytelling through participation games, using the internet to build communities, and the resources that could be applied to the creation of these events.
In this video Jordan Sorcery looks at the origins of the early Games Workshop global events and how they played out.
