![ZARAGOZ: Warhammer Fantasy’s First Trilogy | GW Book Club 03
Were reading Zaragoz, the first novel of the Orfeo trilogy, written in 1989 by Brian Stableford under the pen name Brian Craig. The book introduces us to master lute player, minstrel, and storyteller Orfeo as he weaves a tale of the mysterious Estallian city of Zaragoz in an effort to win his freedom from a dangerous pirate lord.
In GW Book Club my friend Stu and I explore classic fiction from the worlds of Warhammer, 40k, and Dark Future.

![Movie Miniatures | Johnny Fraser-Allen in Conversation with Jordan Sorcery
After working as a conceptual and special effects artist at Weta Workshop on films like Steven Spielbergs BFG, Guillermo Del Toro and then Peter Jacksons the Hobbit movies, and James Camerons Avatar Johnny Fraser-Allen began making miniatures for gaming in the fantasy realms he loves so much.
Working with Alessio Cavatore & Riverhorse Games Johnny designed the miniatures for the boardgame adaptations of Jim Hensons Labyrinth and Dark Crystal. As a lifelong Warhammer fan his work has been featured on Warhammer Community, and his incredible creations have regularly appeared on Adam Savages Tested.
And all of that is before the creation of his 20-year-in-the-making magical world of The Gloaming. A folktale and fae inspired fantasy world drawing on European and Antipodean myths & legends, filled with incredible creatures, and perhaps one of the most immersive game settings ever devised. A full-size tour of The Gloaming has been produced by Weta with narration by Stephen Fry, and Johnny has been working on a series of campaigns to release 28mm scale miniatures and printable STLs for the denizens of this otherworldly place.
We talk about it all, and it is incredible!

![Slightly Reckless RPGs | Sacha Lightfoot in Conversation with Jordan Sorcery
Ronin is a Mork Borg compatible RPG that brings the samurai and yokai of mediaeval Japan to life on the table top. Featuring stunning, high energy, high octane art and graphic design, and a solid fast paced ruleset it is no surprise that the game, and its publisher - Slightly Reckless Games - are building a following.
I got the chance to sit speak with Sacha Lightfoot, founder of Slightly Reckless Games, and creator of Ronin, about the art and business behind starting an RPG publisher and writing a brand new game. With the next SRG game, Berserkr, coming to Kickstarter it felt like the perfect time to chat.
