My seventh voice acting job for Dawn of War modding. This is another Dreadnought hailing from the Adeptus Custodes, the Emperor's bodyguards.
The Venerable Contemptor Dreadnought is one of the most ancient and wisest Dreadnoughts of the Imperium. At the time of the Great Crusade in 30 000, while the Emperor was still physically alive and before their cybernetic interment, their pilots served as the Emperor's counselors as well as his most loyal companions. They are millenia old and seasoned warriors; the elite of the elite. You would have probably noticed the character's long "monologues" at some parts? Well, first of all those were from a script not written by me; secondly, they were tough to get on voice but I was pleased of the result nonetheless. I actually spoke quite slowly for each line and sped up the tempo by 15% to keep the lines as natural as possible. It is somewhat necessary when you've got to lower the pitch of your voice, haha!
