UPDATE - Fixed as of The Sacrifice: Hotfix 23.1.3

In order for any of the helms / skins / weapons to be 'applied' you have to click on the corresponding sub menu. (Appearance / Equip) before it works correctly or else it will soft lock Warframe's UI.
