Heavy Metal Hero. This match is a bit unusual in the way that while it's just a single cap map the actual fighting spreads across a wider area than with most of my regular matches. This is of course in part due to my efforts to stay away from the actual brawling since neither the StuG III G nor the 88mm Flak 37 are suitable for this kind of fighting.
Now I really hate how my StuG III got one shotted by that one Panzer IV F2 that didn't actually show up on the actual gamescreen or the minimap. You can clearly see that I tried to check my right side regularly but he's just not showing up. And then the lucky shot through the patio of a house. Sigh.
I"m doing better with the 88mm flakbus, driving around at a healthy distance to the actual cap and combat zone. This bumpy field at the end is quite tricky to navigate but it's all nice and fine until I get killed by a kamikaze fighter. I think there were actually two of them crashing into my position. I guess the rage was strong with them and they wanted to make sure I'm going down for real. Too bad as it was actually a nice position and a very good engagement distance for the 88mm. Ah well btw I think I took revenge on that lucky F2 with the 88mm.
Wrapping up the match with the Panzer IV G. Well I guess wrapping up is not really the right word here since for a long time it was a quite difficult match where victory wasn't more than a faint possibility for my team. I guess my flanking action with the 88mm created a little distraction that my team was able to exploit and of course I took down some of the enemy vehicles as well. After I got up close and personal with some leftovers the enemy team ran out of vehicles so I guess he achieved a decisive victory in the end. Overall a tough match despite the clear outcome.
