In this episode, the Blackwood team investigates a series of bizarre incidents where people are being "helped" by a mysterious benefactor with superhuman abilities. They soon discover that a Martian, struggling with its own physical degradation on Earth, has developed a way to temporarily stabilize its form by absorbing human life force under the guise of performing "miracles." Harrison and Ironhorse must stop this "Good Samaritan" before its hunger for human energy leads to a local catastrophe.
