British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, who has had his position since 2001, responded to questions and comments at a British Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on terrorism and foreign policy. He was joined by two members of the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office in addressing such topics as the war in Iraq, terrorism, Syria, and Iran. They also addressed the issue of “extraordinary rendition,” which is the practice of extraditing terrorism suspects to countries where torture is used in interrogations. (10-24-2005)
