Straw mulching the garden does a lot of positive things for the soil and the plants growing in that soil. Yet bringing unknown straw into your garden can introduce very persistent herbicides to your garden. If you can't find organic straw, how do you avoid these herbicides. Grow your own straw. In this video, I outline my plan for growing my own straw to straw mulch my garden.
