"Texas John Slaughter made 'em do what they oughta, 'cause if they didn't, they died!" From Season 6 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 10: The Robber Stallion, which originally aired December 4th, 1959. In Part 7 of 17, John rides to New Mexico to visit his friend, John Scanlon, intending to buy a herd of cattle to take back to Tombstone, Arizona. A nearby silver strike means that hundreds of hungry miners will soon descend upon the area, and John intends to supply their beef needs. He meets Ashley Carstairs, a young Easterner who is staying at the ranch, and takes a liking to him. Ashley is there to buy horses to take back to Kentucky, where he hopes to breed them with thoroughbreds to produce steeplechase racers. Starring Tom Tryon as Texas John Slaughter, Darryl Hickman as Ashley Carstairs, Barton MacLane as John Scanlon, John Vivyan as Jason Hemp and Jean Inness as Bess Scanlon.
