From Season 4 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 2: Four Fabulous Characters which originally aired on September 18th, 1957. The show is dedicated to the memory of four Americans who have become folk heroes, celebrated in song and story. Jerry Colonna begins with the story of Casey Jones, a railroad engineer, with a penchant for being on time that bordered fanaticism. This segment can be seen on the Walt Disney Treasures Rarities DVD or the Disney's American Legends DVD.
The second story is about two famous characters, Henry Martin and Grace Coy, whose story concerns a feud that began so long ago no one even remembers why. This segment is included in color here.
Mighty Casey of the Mudville Nine is next as the story of one of the world's most famous baseball players. This segment can be seen on the Make Mine Music DVD or Blu-ray.
The final tale is that of John Chapman, better known as "Johnny Appleseed." I came across the full restored Walt Disney lead-in in color and included it here; the entire segment however, can be seen on Disney+ in the Melody Time animated feature!
