Widen Your World | Walt Disney World Christmas Parade Broadcast 1985 Part I @widenyourworld | Uploaded March 2012 | Updated October 2024, 6 minutes ago.
This was the third annual broadcasting of WDW's parade. It shows WDW right on the cusp of countless changes ... a time when the old character costume styles were still in use (except the recently modified Seven Dwarfs with their smaller heads) and Eastern Airlines was still a sponsor. This is a year before the Magic Kingdom did a large entertainment layoff and several of the bands in the parade weren't around for Christmas 1986. Just one look at the commercials tells you this was truly a different era: a world where the United States' biggest concern was the Soviet Union and Nirvana did not exist.
