In "Curse of the Were-Rabbit," Wallace originally retained his rabbit ears after transforming back to his human self, with the intention of there being a scene afterwards where Wallace used the Mind Manipulation-O-Matic to clear out the rabbit genes from his brain. However, they decided that was unnecessary AFTER the scene had been partially animated with the rabbit ears, so they had to digitally remove and replace them with human ears. Some shots in the alternate version have human ears because they were animated after that decision was made.
