Walking on the frozen Southern Ocean in East Antarctica. Our ship, the French icebreaker Le Commadant Charcot, is a Polar Class 2 icebreaker that edged its way into the sea ice near the Shackleton Ice Sheet. We were able to very safely get off the ship and walk around on the frozen ocean.
